What happens at Stockholm City Hall affects students’ everyday lives, both today and in the future. Visiting the City Hall is a great way to teach students about politics, history and culture.
During the tour, the students will experience the magnificent ambience of Stockholm City Hall and the democratic system. See the Blue Hall and the Golden Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquet takes place. Hear about the building’s unique architecture and exciting history, and about the municipal government system.
During Nobel Calling Stockholm, these school tours will focus especially on the Nobel Prize ‒ to celebrate research, science, literature, peace efforts and all the contributions of the laureates to “the greatest benefit to humankind”, in the words of Alfred Nobel himself.
Each tour takes about 45 minutes.
