In preparation for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (18–24 November), established by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Nobel Prize Museum invites you to evening tours with a focus on medicine.

The tours are based on the exhibition Fighting disease – three stories from the fields of medicine. Through historical examples, personal narratives, and objects from the museum collection, we gain insight into the role of medicine in the fight against disease, both past and present.

This year marks 80 years since Alexander Fleming was awarded the Nobel Prize for the discovery of penicillin, a breakthrough that fundamentally transformed healthcare. Today, the issue is once again highly relevant, as we face the growing threat of antibiotic resistance.

During the evening, we will screen the three documentary films that form the basis of our ongoing exhibition Fighting disease – three stories from the fields of medicine. Through these films, we meet a researcher, a doctor, and a nurse who are all fighting for better global health. The films will be shown consecutively, in connection with the evening’s guided tours. The total screening time for all three films is 60 minutes.

This Friday evening we offer a combo ticket for 210 SEK, which includes the museum admission, guided tours, film screenings, a drink and snacks.

The exhibitions, Bistro Nobel and the museum shop are open until 21:00.
