Participants take part from two locations at the same time: Tensta Square and Norrbro, where the artwork The Door is installed. Inspired by Nobel Prize laureate Tomas Tranströmer’s line “Each person is a half-open door leading to a room for everyone,” the artwork consists of two doors – one in Tensta, one on Norrbro. When both are opened, they symbolically create a shared space.
At both sites, participants join the Poetry workout – a guided exercise session held in Swedish, connected live so everyone can see and interact with each other. Poetry is read aloud during the session, and movements follow the rhythm of the words – a soft, slow-paced workout suitable for everyone.
It’s a calm yet powerful experience where body, art, and language come together, linking different parts of the city.
The event is a collaboration with Tensta Library and Hornstull Library.
