During four Sundays, the Nobel Prize Museum invites musicians to perform a romantic, classical repertoire. The theme of the concert series is love; the joyful, the longed-for, the unrequited, the eternal.
The final Sunday salon of the spring begins with a conversation in Swedish between LISAS and Carin Klaesson from the Nobel Prize Museum, exploring how the many expressions of love are reflected in both the Nobel Prize and classical music. The conversation is followed by a concert where the award-winning duo LISAS plays everything from Baroque to Swedish folk music.
You can choose to add afternoon tea or purchase a ticket for the program only. Both ticket types include a short guided tour of the museum’s exhibitions, connecting to the concert’s theme and repertoire.
The artistic curator for this series is Christoffer Nobin.

Repertoire LISAS
LISAS is the duo where two voices become one. Love, both wistful and joyful, has inspired composers throughout the ages. LISAS offers a programme featuring Henry Purcell from the Baroque era, bittersweet Swedish folk music, and their own compositions.

About LISAS
Accordionist Lisa Långbacka and baroque violinist/Riksspelman Lisa Rydberg are two acclaimed musicians who both move freely between genres. In their compositions, they weave together folk music, Baroque, tango, and contemporary art music. When they formed the duo LISAS in 2011, their vision was to create a space for intimate and responsive musical conversations. Their critically acclaimed debut album Fiddle & Accordion Conversations (2017) was named one of the most important albums of the century by Lira magazine and received the Manifest Award in 2018 for Folk Album of the Year. With their follow-up album Etiam, the duo won a Swedish Grammy (Grammis) in the Folk Music category in 2024.
Lisa Rydberg is the first ever to study the combination of classical and folk music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She can be heard in acclaimed ensembles such as the duo Bach på svenska and the folk music group Jul i folkton. Rydberg has released six albums under her own name and composed music for her own and others’ projects. Among other things, she has written string arrangements for numerous pop albums and appeared on recordings with artists such as Nicolai Dunger, Sofie Livebrant, Ane Brun, and Ulf Lundell. In 1999, she was awarded the title Riksspelman and has also received the Pekkos Gustaf Medal and a Diploma in Baroque Violin.
Lisa Långbacka moves between diverse musical worlds, from collaborations with pop, jazz, and folk musicians to opera and theater music, most recently in The Threepenny Opera at Dramaten. She has been named Accordionist of the Year and has toured with artists such as Tomas Ledin, Cullberg Ballet, Augustifamiljen, and Musica Vitae. In 2017, Långbacka served as music producer for the Nobel Banquet, where she also performed as a musician and composer. The following year, she received STIM’s Composer of the Year award at the Folk and World Music Gala.
