To honor and highlight the 2020 Nobel Prize Laureates and their discoveries, fashion students at Beckmans College of Design created interpretations of the various Nobel Prizes.
Drawing inspiration from black holes, the gene-editing tool CRISPR, auction theory, and the disease Hepatitis C, as well as the World Food Programme’s efforts to end hunger and the poetry of Louise Glück, the students created six powerful fashion interpretations.
The creations

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2020 was awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna, and was interpreted by Filippa Fuxe and Charlotte Backryd.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2020 was awarded to Harvey J. Alter, Michael Houghton, and Charles M. Rice, and was interpreted by Johanna Stannow and Emily Duff.
