Conceived as a visual and sonic fresco, it sheds light on the complexity of peace as a process, emphasising that peace is always more difficult to build than war.
Through sound citations by Nobel Peace Prize laureates, 21.09 and the artists Les Ateliers BK, explores how peace arises from dialogue, exchange, the ability to listen, and the effort to reconcile opposing viewpoints. The luminous scenography reflects tensions, conflicts, ruptures and dissonances to highlight moments of agreement, balance, and reconciliation.
21.09 portrays peace as a demanding and collective construction, often quiet, yet always forward-looking. The artwork includes visual references to paintings within the collection of the Royal Palace.
