The artwork Peace by Peace is inspired by Jimmy Carter, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022 for his ”decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development”.

The students at Jönköping University researched the work of the Jimmy Carter foundation and created an aesthetic expression of his contributions, which is displayed in Stallkanalen – a beautiful canal beside the Parliament buildings and located right in the heart of Swedish democracy.
