“Alas, Alas, the mirror’s retrospection” wrote Alfred Nobel in a poem named Alas, directly influencing the artist Eva Beierheimer to create this artwork, that (theoretically) produces infinite duplication.

In addition an ellipsis (dot dot dot …) is incorporated. Depending on the context ellipses may indicate an unfinished thought, an uncertain continuation, a pause or something about to be continued. This leads the thoughts to scientists and writers who try to fill the (…) gaps with information.

Eva Beierheimer

The Austrian artist Eva Beierheimer has lived and worked in Sweden since 2007. She has studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, Iceland’s Art Academy and the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm.

Eva Beierheimer is interested in creating works and installations that are specific to the location and context. She has exhibited her works at various solo and collective exhibitions in Sweden, Austria and around Europe.
