This programme is held in Swedish
Choosing a Nobel Prize laureate in literature is no easy task. The Nobel Committee of the Swedish Academy searches among the foremost contemporary authors, and their choice is often surprising, sometimes criticized, and always interesting.
Welcome to a conversation where members of the Academy share how they have thought, discussed, and ultimately agreed on who will be awarded this year’s Nobel Prize in Literature. The discussion will cover this year’s laureate, and the members will also share their top reading recommendations.
During the evening, actor Danilo Bejarano will read selected texts. The conversation will feature several—so far undisclosed—members of the Swedish Academy’s Nobel Committee. It will be moderated by Carin Klaesson of the Nobel Prize Museum. The evening will open and close with music by the duo LISAS.
The ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine; a non-alcoholic option is available. Doors open at 17:00 for mingling.
Join a guided tour
For those who wish to delve deeper, there is a ticket option which includes a special guided tour of the Nobel Prize Museum’s exhibitions, focusing on the Nobel Prize in Literature.
The tour begins at 16:30 in the museum, located in the same building as the Swedish Academy.

LISAS
Accordionist Lisa Långbacka and baroque violinist/traditional fiddler Lisa Rydberg are two acclaimed musicians who move fluidly between genres such as folk music, baroque, tango, and contemporary art music. As the duo LISAS, they create an intimate and responsive musical dialogue. Their debut album Fiddle & Accordion Conversations (2017) was widely praised and was followed by the Grammy-winning Etiam (2024).
Lisa Rydberg is a pioneer in combining classical and folk music and has collaborated with a range of prominent artists, as well as composing and arranging music for both her own projects and those of others.
Lisa Långbacka works broadly across music, theatre, and the performing arts. She has collaborated with several established artists and ensembles and has, among other things, served as music producer for the Nobel Banquet. She has received several awards, including the STIM Award for Composer of the Year.

Danilo Bejarano trained at the Academy of Drama in Gothenburg.
Since then, he has worked at several theatres across Sweden and appeared in productions at, among others, Unga Klara, Stockholm City Theatre, Teater Galeasen and Moment Teater in Stockholm.
