This programme is held in Swedish
Hear Carolina Hammarskjöld, founder of Hammarskjöld Society, Isak Svensson, peace and conflict researcher at Uppsala University and the Nobel Prize Museum’s Carin Klaesson in a conversation about Dag Hammarskjöld during a Friday evening in Bistro Nobel.
Hammarskjöld died in 1961 when his plane crashed in what was then Northern Rhodesia. That same year, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work as Secretary-General of the United Nations. He was a multifaceted individual with a strong belief that conflicts could be resolved peacefully.
The talk concludes with a donation to the museum of a personal object that once belonged to Dag Hammarskjöld.
