The answer to why we perceive tastes differently lies in the brain’s ability to blend our sensory impressions into a holistic experience — a multisensory world of flavour.

This evening, we once again gather in the banquet hall of Grillska Huset to dive into the world of taste. With the help of flavour experts Per Styregård and Johan Lundström, you’ll learn how the senses interact with every bite — from scientific studies to everyday examples. Through interactive taste demonstrations, you’ll experience firsthand how flavour is about much more than just taste itself.

Your guides for the evening are:

Per Styregård, journalist and wine critic for Dagens Industri, and author of the book Smakens makt (The Power of Taste).

Johan Lundström, Professor of Psychology at Karolinska Institutet and author of over 100 scientific papers on the sense of smell and taste.

After the programme, there will be time to stay and ask questions to the evening’s flavour experts.

Your ticket includes small samples of food and drink, and the bar will be open for those who wish to purchase additional beverages. As always, free admission to the Nobel Prize Museum is included, and on this evening our exhibitions and shop will remain open until 9:00 PM, so you can visit us after the flavour experience.

A warm welcome to a Friday evening where taste is not only felt – it’s seen, heard, and scented!
