Welcome to one of the largest zebrafish facilities in the Nordic region. During this approximately one-hour tour, staff will introduce the operation, presenting its technical equipment, animal care and research.

The tour offers insight into how an animal facility works, how animal welfare is ensured, and how zebrafish are used in research on diseases and pharmaceuticals.

You will also learn about the zebrafish life cycle, from mating and fertilisation to adulthood. Embryos and larvae can be observed under a microscope, including fluorescent examples. The facility’s high-throughput system for drug development will also be presented. There will be time for questions and discussion during and after the tour.
