For the 125th anniversary of the Nobel Prize, a constellation emerges above Stockholm. Powerful laser beams stretch across the night sky, connecting iconic sites linked to the celebrations of the Nobel Prize.
The artwork, welcomes Stockholm residents, visitors, and Nobel Prize laureates to the Nobel Week celebrations. From Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held, the beams reach out to Stockholm Concert Hall, where the Nobel Prizes are awarded, to Grand Hôtel, where the laureates reside, and to the Nobel Prize Museum in the Old Town.
The fourth beam points towards Slussen, the site of the future public building of the Nobel Prize. In this way, the constellation connects the history and traditions of the Nobel Prize, its present activities and looks forward towards the future.
